Topic 7 Further Green Ideas and Technologies: Vertical Gardens- Thessaloniki (Case Study)
The first vertical garden is established in a municipal building and particularly “Directorate of Urban Development Administration Centre”, located in Thessaloniki.
More specifically, the vertical garden includes more than 800 pots with four kinds of plants watered by a rainwater collected at the rooftop.

The project was implemented by the Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med) in the context of the Non-Conventional Water Resources Progam in Greece in cooperation with the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the “Mission Water” Environmental Programme of the Coca-Cola System in Greece.
